Educate and Inform Leadership

Once you’ve identified your potential state leaders, you must educate them about the project.  Creating talking points and presentations is a useful way to prepare your project group and others to seek support for your repository with influential persons.  Effective talking points are critical tools that help staff focus arguments and present a unified vision.  PowerPoint presentations can clearly illustrate the repository concept and demonstrate potential benefits to your state.  Sharing a standard PowerPoint presentation with project advocates also helps to unify your message. Graphics are particularly effective in presenting concepts quickly to people who are often short of time or attention. Below are some samples of resources that we used in soliciting support for the Orange Grove.
